Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WheelSniffer (a partnership firm), Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India ("WheelSniffer", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the WheelSniffer website, apps and WhatsApp service (the "Platform"). We process personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, mobile number, e-mail address and, for Transporters, firm name.
  • Booking data: pickup and drop addresses and map locations, dates, goods description, weight, photos you upload, bids, prices, ratings, reviews and delivery codes.
  • Transporter verification data: GST, PAN and Aadhaar documents you choose to upload, vehicle number and service area. Please upload a masked Aadhaar (first 8 digits hidden) where possible.
  • Location: your device location only when you allow it and use a feature such as "use my current location". We do not track your location in the background.
  • Payments: order and transaction references from Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we do not receive or store them.
  • Messages: if you use our WhatsApp service, the messages you send to our business number.
  • Device and usage data: device type, app version, push-notification token, IP address, log and error data, and browser storage used to keep you logged in.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and send login OTPs.
  • To show requirements to Transporters near the pickup point, calculate fair-price estimates and distances, and match Customers with Transporters.
  • To send notifications about bids, bookings, deliveries and your account (push, SMS or WhatsApp).
  • To process payments and coin purchases, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To verify Transporters, handle complaints, enforce our Terms and comply with legal obligations.
  • To improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising based on it.

3. Who can see your data

  • Public load board: open requirements are shown publicly at area / city level only (for example "Vijay Nagar, Indore"), with date, vehicle, weight, goods type and fair price. Names, phone numbers and exact addresses are not shown publicly.
  • Transporters logged in to the Partner app or website can see requirement details to bid. After a booking, the Customer and the Transporter can see each other's name, phone number and the pickup and drop addresses needed to do the job.
  • Service providers who process data for us: hosting (GoDaddy), maps and places (Google Maps Platform), notifications (Google Firebase), payments (Razorpay), SMS delivery (our SMS gateway provider) and WhatsApp (Meta). They may only use the data to provide their services to us.
  • Authorities, when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or the public.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is transferred, subject to this Policy.

4. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal purposes (for example payment records), which we keep only as long as the law requires.

5. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls and other reasonable security practices to protect your data. No online service is completely secure; please keep your phone and OTPs safe and tell us immediately if you suspect misuse of your account.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can: access a summary of your personal data; correct or update it (most details can be edited in your profile); ask us to erase it (delete your account at https://wheelsniffer.in/v2/delete-account or in the app); withdraw consent for optional processing; nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India. 7. Children

The Platform is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Cookies and browser storage

The website uses browser storage to keep you logged in and remember simple preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Our hosting provider and service providers may set technical cookies needed to run and secure their services.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The latest version is always on this page with its "last updated" date, and important changes may also be notified in the app.
